truSTORY: Kimya Harris

am Kimya Harris, I am 40 years old. I put myself on my first diet when I was only 9 years old. I remember feeling fat and inadequate in my “little girl’s swimsuit” so I would draw pictures of myself in a two-piece swimsuit and tape it to the cake dish in the kitchen to remind myself of what I hoped to look like next year. I would take half a sandwich and an apple to school for lunch every day and eat as fast as I could so that I could use my recess time to “workout”.

I have been active most of my life but I have always a had a huge appetite. My activity level usually kept me from looking “fat” in my clothes, but I hated my body. I carry all of my weight in my back and stomach and have never had a waistline. In my early 20’s I went on a beach vacation surrounded my women in bikinis looking great while I trudged along feeling horrible in comparison. It was like I was 9 years old in swim class all over again! I committed myself to another diet, low-carb this time and phetermine. I also spent every lunch break walking/ working out. I lost about 65 pounds and felt fabulous! For the first time in my life I was able to wear everything I tried on confidently. After a break up and getting into another relationship, I got comfortable, quit exercising and eating right and the weight came right back.

“It wasn’t hard to sell the product when my results sold the products for me!”

Fast forward to six years ago, I was the biggest I had ever been in my life and miserable. Prescription diet pills no longer worked for me and when I found out I was pregnant with my son I decided to try losing weight the right way by eating healthy. I only gained 11 pounds while I was pregnant with him and after I gave birth I joined the YMCA as a fitness instructor. I lost 60 pounds and felt great until I found out I had a tumor on my thyroid and had to have half of my thyroid removed. I began to gain weight excessively and despite exercising 2 to 3 hours a day, 6 days a week.

One of my students noticed my struggled and introduced me to TruVision. I was so broke at the time that I had to take out a loan on my car to get started but I knew it would be worth it. I signed up as an Associate immediately, despite my lack of experience in network marketing. It wasn’t hard to sell the product when my results sold the products for me! I am not sure how much weight I have lost since I started because I have stopped weighing and measuring myself, but I can see the difference in myself in photos! I think everyone should try the sample pack because that is what finally worked for me. I would also advise a person to enjoy their journey; the ups and the downs truly do build character. Don’t compare yourself to anyone but you! Do it for you. Not for a guy or girl, not for a vacation, event or season. Do it because you only get one body and one life!
